This workshop will focus on the physiological changes associated with the aging process and the subsequent implications for correct exercise design. Another focus is: understanding the importance of modifying communication techniques in aquatic exercises.

Workshop #2 - Land (lecture)
 Regula Wittmer- Nutritional Fundamentals:
Learn myth vs fact about several key issues that are facing the fitness professional & participant today: antioxidants; low fat/carb diets; eating to exercise

Join Tish for circuit-style training developed on sound scientific training principles. All exercises are designed to challenge the novice to the athlete. Improve aerobic & anaerobic conditioning, muscular strength & endurance, balance (dynamic & static), proprioception, & core strength.

Workshop #4 - Aqua (pool, active theory)
David Hatch - The Next Step: Water Sport / Personal Training
Challenge yourself & your participants by taking a closer look at the potential power of the water. Give teams the “leading edge” using sport specific techniques. Offer diversity to your group aqua classes or personal training clients by expanding on the 'basins' — moves, music & intention

Your feet - the hands that touch the earth - root your energy into the ground and feel the articulation of your posture, your balance, your awareness & sensation. Pay attention to your feet as you move, as an instructor, as a participant, as a person; and bring more power & purpose to your whole body movements.
